The Ministry of Repentance and Holiness, led by Prophet Dr. David Owuor, has issued a statement dismissing widespread claims that the world will end on August 2, 2025.
In the official release dated August 1, 2025, the church described the rumors as false, baseless, and malicious, aimed at damaging the reputation of the prophet and the church.
They emphasized that “nobody knows the day or the hour” of the Messiah’s return, quoting Matthew 24:36.
"We, the leadership and congregation of the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness, strongly denounce the recent spread of false and misleading information about the world ending on August 2, 2025. These claims are false, baseless, malicious, and intended to harm not only the reputation of the Prophet of the Lord, David Owuor, and the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness, but also the unity and testimony of our church," read the statement.
The church urged media houses, bloggers, content creators, and social media users to refrain from spreading or entertaining unverified information.
